Our Pharmacists can also issue them for carers of immediate family members. Medical certificates issued by Pharmacists are for absence from work due to illness or injury. Unfortunately, we cannot issue certificates for issues relating to pregnancy or compassionate leave.

More information about Medical Certificates issued by our Pharmacy
An absence from work certificate costs $25 and involves a consultation with our Pharmacist. Depending on your condition, the consultation may take up to 10 mins. The typical wait times for a consultation with a Pharmacist is no more than 10 mins.
We can issue certificates every day of the week, even on Sundays!
Pharmacists can issue medical certificates for a maximum of 2 days. These absence from work certificates cannot be backdated. Pharmacists are able to issue certificates for minor ailments only. If you ailment or injury is beyond the professional scope of the Pharmacist, you will be referred to a Doctor for further assessment.
The authority of a Pharmacist to issue absence from work certificates is given by the Fair Work Act 2009. All employers who abide by this act by law have to accept these medical certificates.
